About

Alanna Campbell recently graduated with an M.A. in History of Design and Curatorial Studies from Parsons School of Design, The New School. She also holds a Bachelors degree in Illustration from Sheridan College.
If she isn't drawing or doing research, she's probably reading, looking at vintage clothing and antiques online, or cuddling with her cat. She's passionate about the study of art and design history, material and visual culture. Her research focuses on 18th-20th century Europe, centering issues of gender, girlhood studies, objects of likeness, modernism, and the uncanny.
In August of 2021, she moved from Southern Ontario, Canada to New York, and currently inhabits a cluttered room in Brooklyn.

Alanna’s work has been featured in the ADHT Festival Showcase (2022), Objective: Journal of History of Design and Curatorial Studies (Fall 2023), and the ADHT Graduate Student Symposium (Spring 2024).
